    WHISKY Not WHISKEY

    Loved the product but beware...WHISKEY is not spelled the way it shows on their website. It is spelled WHISKY, without the E. I was told by customer service that is another correct way to spell it. It is the Scottish way to spell it. I was not happy about that due to the fact the website showed WHISKEY and I don't live in Scotland. Other than that, no issues. This will get 4 stars instead of 5.

    Worth the struggle

    The crate was a challenge to open- made a HUGE mess, took quite a bit of cussing, sweating and pounding...but my husband loved it once it opened. (maybe should be a BIT easier to manage)? But beautiful once achieved.

    Whiskey decanter

    I’m got the whiskey decanter and I Love the workmanship on this but very sad the crate came all busted up.

    Dissapointed

    I ordered this gift for my nephew for Christmas. It arrived within a week and in great shape. I did not open to inspect it but could tell it was very well packed and could here nothing rattle when I shook the box. He was so excited when he saw the crate and crow bar to open the gift. The decanter is beautiful, but I was disappointed when I saw the glasses, they were regular glasses from "Libby" and not at all like the ones promised in the description of the set. They were not monogrammed and just plain. Over all he was happy with the gift and that makes me happy, just disappointed that it was not totally as described for that amount of money.

    My Husband Hated It.

    In my personal opinion, this gets 5 stars due to the craftsmanship and detail. I got this for my husband last Christmas. I was EXTREMELY excited for him to open it up, because he tends to splurge on alcohol towards the holidays (go figure); so I figured, "Why not get him something fancy as hell for it; he deserves it, right?" WRONG. Right as he took the decanter and glasses out, his eyes went dead. He absolutely hated it (only because that was the LAST thing that he was expecting, apparently). Needless to say, my heart shattered and the both of us were disappointed. He didn't even PRETEND to be happy about it.
    Moral(s) of the story: don't get your hopes up, don't spend a shit-ton of money on your spouse, gift cards are easier, and hide the body where nobody can find it (joking).

    Wish the quality was better

    I got this as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves it and would never complain. However, it’s not really true etching. It’s barely on the surface, lines aren’t clean. You can tell the etching would be easy to wash off. I was disappointed with that especially for the price of this gift. So buyer beware. If you’re looking for true etching look elsewhere. Otherwise, the set is put together beautifully and the duct tape gift wrapping is hilarious!

    Awesome, but

    The actual product is amazing. It looks fantastic, and the glass is etched, not painted. My husband absolutely loved it. Very disappointed in the packaging, though, since I paid extra for duct tape that wasn't there, and then it turns out it didn't even have the crowbar it's supposed to come with. Overall, I recommend the product, but I really wish the package was complete (especially the extra paid part). You can find personalized gifts elsewhere, so it was the unique packaging that was a selling point for me and it turned into a complete flop in that regard.

    Scared to order again

    The first one came as others said broken. The entire create was full of broken glass except for one piec-the top to the decanter was intact but I did send an email and a new crate was shipped and received quickly. This time the glass was not broken but it was missing the top piece which thankfully we kept from the first crate but mancrates did not know this was saved and not broken so we were upset at the fact they forgot to ship that piece with our crate because if we did not have this piece from the first order saved or if it was broken, this decanter would be useless and just sit around collecting dust.
    This was a Christmas gift for a recently retired Police officer. He loved the gift but I am not sure if I would ever order any glass in the future. It is a great idea but things need to be corrected- fragile shipping and no missing parts :)

    Very disappointed

    Order performance was very good, but we were very disappointed by the actual appearance of the set. It doesn't look nearly as impressive as on the picture. Looks very average and would of never ordered if saw in person. Low end glass products. The rest was fine

    More bad news

    Ordered this as a Christmas gift for my imbibing brother. The mailman delivered, and as mentioned in other reviews, the box was not labeled "fragile" or otherwise padded. Upon picking it up, it was immediately clear that the glass inside had been smashed into little bits. I called ManCrates immediately to see what they could do, and they responded with remarkable customer service - they sent me another crate quickly and in time for Christmas. A+ for that - exceeding all expectations in terms of service. However, once that 2nd crate was finally pried open on Christmas, the craftsmanship was lacking. Both whiskey glasses had numerous bubbles in the glass, including a few really big ones that almost bleed into the inside of the glass - literally a millimeter between where your whiskey sits and an air pocket. This was a total bummer on Christmas, especially after all that went into this purchase already. The decanter was perfect and the peripheral goodies were well and fine. Despite the unique business model and A+ customer service, ManCrates fell way short in terms of shipping practices and aspects of product quality.

    Whiskey appreciation crate

    Nothing to tell the pic showed whiskey in the bottle but the bottle was empty, they should have shown the bottle empty!

    No words can't describe my feelings

    OMG. just got my whiskey appreciation crate and man do I have to say, it is absolutely, 100% hands down, the biggest DISAPPOINTMENT EVER!!! First off, I spent nearly 20 mins trying to open it without breaking anything using the $2.99 pry bar they send you before figuring out that one side is simply glued on! How about marking it so people know how to open it!!! Only to realize I spent 150$ on peanuts, literally peanuts! The glasses aren't even anything special, I should have went to Walmart and got a liquor set that would have come with delicious whiskey in it and a more durable bottle, three bags of PEANUTS and an ice tray for a third of the price!!! #ihatepecans. Man crates thanks for peanuts, I mean nothing!!! I guess words can describe my feelings...

    All glass was broken

    I opened up my awesome man crate with my beautiful wife waiting in anticipation. Upon opening, I can see the remains of the glass. Not one piece of glass was in tact.
