    Wholly Smokes

We thought about naming this product the D.I.Y.-B.Y.O.B.S., but our test group was spending too much time bumbling over the acronym and not enough time smoking mouth-watering meats and veggies.

After trying the ribs, they suggested we call it “The Greatest DIY Smoker of All Time.”

Boasting a 16 gallon, double open-ended barrel, this kit comes complete with all the drill bits, stencils, and hardware he’ll need to construct a quality smoker by hand, right in his backyard. The only thing we didn’t throw in is the elbow grease.

Get your guy the ultimate D.I.Y., and upgrade his backyard barbecue with the Build Your Own Barrel Smoker Kit.

    Barrel-Smoked Bullet Points:

    • This high-quality, 16 gallon barrel is large enough to smoke 4 racks of ribs, or one complete brisket. But why not just make both?
    • With air vents located on both the sides and the top of the barrel, controlling the smoker’s temperature is a breeze. Even in a breeze.
    • We’ve coated the barrel with durable, high-temperature powder coat rated up to 900 degrees, to make sure the smoker lasts for a lifetime of fall-off-the-bone barbecue.

    My husband loved it

It was relatively easy to put together and even easier to use. I'm really glad I went with this choice

    Rust and paint peeling

This is what the barrel looks like after 9 months. Worked well 3 times I used it but looks terrible now. The guys tried to help out by offering 10% off on the next purchase but ..... not worth it.

    Barrel of Fun!

Got this as a birthday present but had to wait to build it due to a missing template and handle. Once they arrived, the build began. Didn’t take 3 hours as most people do, but ensure your drill is fully charged as I had to recharge my battery for about 20 minutes. Installation was simple and straightforward. Once together, I cured it for about 3 hours and started smoking the next day. Started with chicken wings and baby back ribs. This barrel seals VERY well. Zero heat loss as the steel is sturdy and the seals are solid. Chicken came out juicy with the classic pink smoked color. Ribs were tender but not overcooked. The rub in the instructions is similar to what I currently use and it’s easy to make. This is the perfect smoker if you’re not smoking for a large group. Highly recommend and might just get another to smoke brisket and pork shoulder.

    Overall Fun Project

Got this for a Father’s Day gift. It came in a discreet cardboard box. We decided to put this together early so we could smoke some meat for Sunday. Everything was packed nicely inside the drum. It took us about 3 hours to put this together. The instructions were a little confusing as the diameters in the instruction manual did not match the diameters on the cutout blueprint. We ended up following the cutout out diameters, the screws didn’t fit following the manual. The drill bit piece we received also did not look like the instructions. We received this two-side piece to puncture the holes. Both sides ended up breaking from use. We were really struggling puncturing the last holes for the bottle opener. There were also some nuts that were warped so we we unable to secure them on a few bolts. The ventilation plate only had one bolt instead of 2 in the instructions. We also didn’t receive the right nuts for the vent on the top lid. All in all it was a fun experience for us. The final product looks great. I didn’t see a place for me to order parts but would be great if I could get some replacement pieces. Is there a place I can order some additional hardware?

Good Investment, Seeking Replacement Parts after 2 Years

Great little smoker, it was fun putting it together and experimenting with it over the last couple years. However, the clasp on the ring that seals the lid has worn out and I don't know how to find a replacement. Can we order replacement parts somehow?
